The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic meant that the technology market has almost completely abandoned the organization of large conferences at which new equipment has been presented so far. It was no different in the case of IFA. In 2021, it was decided that the organization of the event remotely, by communicating with company representatives via internet messengers, would not be an appropriate form for the IFA. Fortunately, this year the organizers announce that IFA event will return and will be held in a stationary form.
The IFA 2022 trade fair is scheduled to take place from 2nd to 6th September 2022. Importantly, it is likely that a negative COVID-19 test result or confirmation of vaccination against this disease will not be required to enter the presentations of individual companies. It will be one of the first electronic events without any major restrictions. Recently, CES event has already taken place, but due to the spread of the omicron variant, many companies resigned from participation in CES, and the fair itself was held in the sanitary regime. Only those who were vaccinated were allowed to participate in the fair and it was necessary to wear a mask while participating in the event.
