Soon, on 23th of March, a new series of flagship smartphones from OnePlus will appear on the market. It will be OnePlus 9 series. In accordance with the previously adopted company policy, the new series of phones will also be able to count on at least two years of support in terms of system updates and security updates. This will translate into support until 2023. From the OnePlus 9 series, the manufacturer's standard warranty will also last the same.
This information was confirmed by Pete Lau, who is the CEO of OnePlus. He announced that OnePlus 9 will receive a two-year warranty on all markets to replace defective units. Until now, the warranty has lasted 1 year, although in some markets OnePlus was forced to sell equipment with a two-year warranty. This state of affairs concerned, inter alia, the European Union, therefore in these areas this change will not be of great importance to customers. This decision is dictated by the results of research which revealed that the average period of using the phone before replacing it with a newer model among customers is about 2 years, so OnePlus wants to ensure its users safe use of their phones even in the case of hardware damage.
