Samsung is constantly developing its proprietary series of processors called Exynos. The first units received quite negative reviews, because phones with this type of processor often overheated, and phones were able to restart without prior notice to the user. Over time, however, these processors started to work better, hence, quite unexpectedly, information about changing Samsung's policy in the aspect of using processors in their smartphones appeared on the Internet.

According to the reports of the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Qualcomm may become the only supplier of processors for the Galaxy S23 series smartphones. Currently, apart from Snapdragon processors, Samsung's flagships use the aforementioned Exynos processors. Qualcomm's CEO pointed out that in the case of the Galaxy S22 series, the Snapdragon series is used in 75% of Samsung's flagship units, but Qualcomm wants to further increase this contribution to the production of Samsung phones in the future. In addition, the partnership between Qualcomm and Samsung will probably be expanded in the future, for example in the aspect of creating units for tablets or computers. Both companies officially extended their cooperation until 2030.
