It has been said for some time that Samsung is working on a lens for a camera with a resolution of 600MPx. A lot of people ridiculed this information, referring to the fact that the latest flagships on the market have cameras with lenses up to around 100MPx, hence the lens supporting six times bigger resolution sounds like an abstraction. However, it turns out to be true.

This information is confirmed by Ice Universe Twitter account, which specializes in leaks regarding Samsung projects. Certainly, the goal of creating such a lens is questionable for many, especially when we consider that the human eye is able to reproduce a resolution corresponding to around 500MPx. However, such a lens should allow users to capture even more details and good quality photos even when using zoom. If a 600MPx lens would used in a smartphone, it would occupy about 12% of the back surface of the phone.
