The resolution of cameras used in smartphones is growing very quickly. Almost 3 years ago, most flagships used cameras with a resolution of 16MP, but nowadays it is not unusual to use lenses exceeding 100MP. Xiaomi wants to cross another limit. The latest reports indicate that the Chinese company is working hard on a new phone that will use a 200 megapixel camera.
It would not be the first time that Xiaomi sets trends in the market in terms of the resolution of cameras used in smartphones. In 2019, the company introduced the Xiaomi Mi Note 10, which received the then-record 108 megapixel camera. The phone which is currently described in medias, in addition to using the 200MP matrix, is to receive the latest processor from Qualcomm. It is marked with the symbol SM8450, but so far we do not know whether it is the recently introduced Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processor, or maybe it will be another unit that Qualcomm has not presented yet. The featured flagship from Xiaomi is expected to have its premiere in 2022.
