MWC is one of the most important events in the mobile world. A year ago, Xiaomi was the headliner of the event through the presentation of Xiaomi MI5, which is still one of the best phones available on the market. This year, it was expected that the company plans to introduce the successor of the device at MWC 2017, but truth it's different.
As reported by sources from the vicinity of Xiaomi, the company has nothing to present for now and it won't appear on the MWC. When Xiaomi MI6 will be ready, firm is going to call a special conference during which the phone will be officially announced.
It's possible that one of the reasons for the absence of Xiaomi on the event is that Hugo Barra, vice president of company, decided to join Facebook and to focus on Oculus project.
