During last week appeared unofficial information that OnePlus collects data about its users on a variety of topics, including phone commands and list of opened apps. Under pressure OnePlus released official statement in which company confirms, that this information was true and OnePlus did it to improve OxygenOS and overall user experience.
After upcoming update of OxygenOS users will have option to resign from sending information to OnePlus about their actions. This option will be included by the end of October, and OnePlus promised that firm won't collect phone numbers, MAC addresses and information about Wi-Fi anymore.
