4K is still considered useless by the most of the mobile users. But Samsung is already looking way past that and is going after the next major step. Apparently Samsung partnered with 13 companies and the South Korean government to develop an 11K mobile display.
The 11K display is being developed as Project EnDK. All parties are hoping the prototypes to be ready in time for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in 2018.
The breakthrough would help the Korean industry in the future.
