In August we learned about the exact name of the new version of Android. Google this time decided to name it Oreo, and today this company has confirmed that Android Oreo will be released in the new version 8.1 in the nearest future.
For beginning Android 8.1 will be available for Pixel phones, both from first and second generation, and during upcoming days we should expect that Google will release developer version of system with codename MR1. We don't know a lot about possible changes made by new version of Android apart from activating Pixel Visual Core (secret processor which will improve quality of photos) for Pixel 2 phones. This unit will have its switch located in Developer Options setting.
