The rules imposed by Apple require that all producers extending access to their applications through the AppStore share the profits from microtransactions with Apple. Then Apple charges 30% of the amount received as part of a specific microtransaction. Epic can't accept this, and its actions finally led to the removal of Fortnite from the AppStore. Another application that has problems with Apple is WordPress.

Apple has officially blocked the release of Wordpress updates by application developers. The reason is simple, at least according to Apple - Wordpress doesn't share microtransaction profits with Apple. The key to the whole matter, however, is the fact that Wordpress offers all microtransactions through its official website, while the application itself is available for free and from its level it was not possible to purchase any microtransactions. This state of affairs forced Wordpress to add microtransactions from the application level and from now on it will probably be possible to buy, among others, domain names for an additional fee from the application level. It seems that Apple has achieved its goal and thus the company has gained another source of income.
