Apple announced that the day after the conference at which new devices with the iPhone 14 Pro series will be presented, new versions of individual systems by Apple will appear on the market. The company kept its word and hit the market with iPadOS 15.7, watchOS 9, tvOS 16 and iOS 15.7, but the first global version of iOS 16 attracted the most attention.
The biggest novelty in iOS 16 is certainly the new lock screen on the phone. Users can set a photo for the background, but also one of the latest animated wallpapers, and in addition, Apple finally gave users the ability to modify the lock screen by adding widgets from selected applications and modify basic elements of lock screen, such as the font or the color of the texts. The way of displaying notifications has also changed, and they are now shown at the bottom of the screen. In addition, Apple has modified the Messages application and from now on you will be able to edit and cancel sending the message within a few minutes after sending it. Among the smaller novelties, Apple has added to selected phones the ability to display the percentage of the battery status in the battery icon in the upper right corner of the screen. iOS 16 has also brought modifications in terms of the Wallet and Maps applications, and the full list of changes is available on the official Apple’s website.
