From the beginning of October, the media featured the topic of potential support for Apple Music through the use of Sony's consoles. The PlayStation brand, in line with these rumors, has obtained the option of using Apple Music on the console, but this only applies to the PlayStation 5 model.
PlayStation 5 thus became the first console that received support for Apple Music. You can find the application directly in the console menu. The capabilities of Apple Music have been refined in detail, so that users can use the platform, among others, while playing games. However, nothing was mentioned about possible support for lossless quality music, and the Dolby Atmos codec was also omitted, probably due to the inability to decode Atmos via PS5. At the moment, Apple has also not mentioned anything about the possible support of Apple Music for other consoles - we are talking not only about the PlayStation 4, but also about the Xbox series of consoles.
