In recent years, Apple has released four phones from its flagship series. This time also four new Apple flagships hit the market, but from this year the company (again) is giving up the production of the Mini smartphone. Instead, the iPhone in the Max variant returns to the series.

The first part of the conference concerned the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max smartphones. The phones differ in size and battery, as the standard variant received a 6.1-inch screen, while the Max variant boasts a 6.7-inch screen and a slightly larger battery that allows for 26 hours of video viewing. The standard phone model is to allow 20 hours of viewing materials. Both phones run on the A15 processor (the same as the 13 series phones) and have two 12MP cameras on the back and a single 12MP front camera with autofocus. In addition, both phones still have notches at the top of the display. In addition, the phones still only support the screen refresh rate at 60Hz.

We've got more new features in the case of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max phones. Both phones have the same display sizes as the 14 and 14 Max models, i.e. 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively. At the very top of the screens, however, Apple gave up the notch, and instead a pill-shaped notch was placed. This novelty was called Dynamic Island, because Apple has prepared special animations and notifications using the new screen cutout, and from this part of the screen it will be possible to control some applications running in the background. In addition, both displays received a maximum brightness support of up to 2,000 nits, which is a record value on the market. Both models will also support the new Always-on display function, known from the phones of competing companies. Its use was possible thanks to the use of ProMotion, which will reduce the screen refresh rate to 1Hz while using the new function. We also saw an increase in the resolution of the main camera on the back, as it is now a 48MP lens. The other two lenses and the main selfie camera are 12MP cameras. It is also worth mentioning that with the Pro and Pro Max models in mind, Apple has prepared new A16 processors, which are to use 20% less energy than A15 units.

In the case of all four models, it is worth mentioning that Apple has introduced a satellite connection option, which is to help send emergency messages even when the phone is unable to connect to cellular network transmitters. This feature is expected to be available for free for the first 2 years. In addition, in the United States, all phones are to appear without a physical SIM card slot and smartphones will only support eSIM technology.
