A new battery charging tech was showed today at Computex 2016 by MediaTek. It is called Pump Express 3.0, and it can boost you battery from 0 to 70% in just 20 minutes.
The company says there is no problem with the temperature, thanks to high speed of charging and efficiency. The way it works is simple: it bypasses the charging circuit and gives electrical current straight to the battery. It is protected by 20 safety protection systems to prevent overheating issues.
This new method will be available on late 2016 devices.
