In 2017, Google launched a project called Treble. This is a project which aims to accelerate the release of Android updates to phones by separating Android from manufacturer-imposed user interfaces. Work on regular updates for phones is ongoing and it seems that more positive information for customers is coming. All thanks to Google's cooperation with Qualcomm.

Starting with the appearance of the new, top Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor on the market, Android system update policy is likely to change. Google announces that phones with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor that will soon appear on the market are expected to receive three major system updates to the new versions of Android. Until now, similar support was mainly offered to smartphones from the Pixel series. In the same moment, Google boasted that the company is already doing very well with quick updates to new versions of Android for specific phones. According to statistics, over 667 million of customers already use Android 10 in their phones.
