We are only a dozen or so days away from the official premiere of the new 13 series of iPhones. Much of the specifications of the upcoming phones is no longer a secret, hence we can say that customers waiting for the return of TouchID will unfortunately be disappointed. Apple is to offer customers an improved version of FaceID this time, which can solve the biggest problems caused by the lack of TouchID in phones that appeared with the onset of the pandemic. Of course, we are talking about masks, the wearing of which makes the use of FaceID almost impossible. With the premiere of iOS 14.5, Apple added the ability to unlock the phone by using the Apple Watch, while the latest announcements indicate that unlocking the phone soon while wearing the mask should be possible through the use of FaceID.

Apple is testing the new version of FaceID on a group of its employees. The company asks them to use the iPhone 13 by using the FaceID feature while wearing glasses or masks after initially saving their face on the phone without any add-on on it that would make it difficult to verify it. These announcements are to indicate that the new version of FaceID will solve the problems that caused customers to expect TouchID to return to iPhones. However, we will have to wait a little longer to verify the effectiveness of the new version of this function.
