Competition between companies in aspect of camera improvements in smartphones still continues. The previous year was marked by dual cameras, and in terms of lenses, breakthroughs proved to be phones offering sets using 48mpx and 64mpx lenses. 108mpx lenses will be the next step forward. It's no secret that Samsung is already working on such a solution, and other companies like Xiaomi will also use developed lens. The information from the gallery application code for MIUI indicates the number of phones that will use the Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX matrix with 108mpx resolution. It seems that four such devices produced by a Chinese company will probably appear on the market.
The source code indicates four devices with the code names "tucana", "draco", "umi" and "cmi". All of them obviously are related with Xiaomi, but it is not known if any of these names hides a phone from the Redmi brand. Almost certainly one of these four phones is Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, which as announced is going to be the first phone to use the new matrix developed by Samsung.
