An Italian organization to protect competition rights on the market has dealt with the case of Google. Ultimately, after the investigation, it was found out that Google had committed monopoly activities in Italy, which ultimately resulted in the imposition of a fine on the American company.

As we can read in the announcement, the entity imposed a fine of 102 million euro on Google. As proven, Google blocked access to JuicePass via Android Auto. It is an application through which drivers can find places to charge their cars and reserve them. Blocking this application forced drivers to use Google Maps applications, which also have this function, but for now it is only limited to finding places to charge vehicles. In addition to being fined, Google has been forced to introduce JuicePass to Android Auto, but the company also needs to generally provide developers with tools to build applications for Android Auto.
