From the very beginning of the presence on the mobile market of the Pixel series developed by Google, manufacturer announced that this series will consist of only flagship devices. Everything changed in 2019, when Google released Google Pixel 3a and its larger version, i.e. Pixel 3a XL. Manufacturer applied several changes that caused a significant decrease in the final price of devices on the market, which translated into a very satisfactory sale of the 3a model, but the larger version of smartphone didn't sell so well. Hence, there are rumors of a change in Google's publishing plans for 2020.
The relatively poor sales of the Pixel 3a XL are expected to cause that we will receive only one Pixel series phone from mid-priced range in 2020. It will be called 4a. It is going to be available in at least three color variants (white, black, and blue) and we can expect that front camera will be placed in a special cutout, which will be located in the corner of the smartphone. Experts expect Google to want to keep the price of Pixel 3a in case of its successor, which would indicate that we will have to pay 399$ for Pixel 4a.
