The dark theme is becoming standard in many applications these days. It's no different in the case of Google, which is gradually releasing a dark theme for its applications. This time, dark mode is slowly being released for the Maps application.
Changes in Google Maps take place on the server, so there is no direct need to download a special update for the application to get a dark theme in it. The appearance of the dark mode has been noticed by some customers who use Google Maps version 10.51.1 on Android 11. After receiving the update, customers will be able to choose one of three color options for Maps - light mode, dark mode or the default mode for phone theme.
