There are quite a lot of Android modification fanatics. What's more, on Android it is not too difficult to do it and interestingly - there are ways to hide the unlocked bootloader from sensitive applications such as banking applications or Google Pay. By installing the Magisk module you can hide the unlocked bootloader from any applications. Google has been fighting this add-on for some time, but firm has recently been stepped up in this direction and tries to implement new solutions.
As reported by John Wu, creator of Magisk who, what's interesting, also works with Apple, said on his Twitter account that Google is very close to completing SafetyNet update. SafetyNet is responsible for informing system about status of the bootloader. After a new update, phone is going to automatically block access for users with an unlocked bootloader to some applications. As John Wu informed, Magisk still works on most phones and there is a chance that even after the latest update creators of Magisk will be able to deal with the problem.
