The media openly talked about plans to merge two subscriptions into one, and the first rumors about it appeared about a year ago. We are talking about HBO Max and Discovery+ services. The merger of both of these services into one has been officially confirmed. Both subscriptions in the new variant received the abbreviated name Max.
Max will be available to users in the United States from 23rd of May 2023, and it will also go to other countries at a later date. In most cases, the changes will come into force from 2024. The service is to be available in three subscription variants. Discovery+ is expected to continue to be available as a separate subscription, while existing HBO Max subscribers will have access to Max at the same price for at least six months after the launch of the new subscription. In addition, previously watched productions and created lists will be transferred to the new service.
