Recently, Qualcomm has buried the hatchet with Apple and both companies have signed an agreement as a result of which Apple will be able to use Qualcomm's solutions in the aspect of 5G connectivity. All companies on the market want to slowly develop in this direction, which is why several companies have expressed their willingness to cooperate with Qualcomm in this aspect. After the announcement of cooperation with Apple, now the time has come to confirm the agreement with HMD, which is responsible for the production of Nokia phones.
In exchange for a certain financial amount (which hasn't been published for medias), HMD Global will be able to use Qualcomm's patents. The cooperation is going to allow for using of patents related to 3G, 4G and 5G connectivity in Nokia phones. According to the directors of the Finnish brand, the announcement of this agreement will significantly facilitate the HMD's entry into the 5G market with their new smartphones.
