From the very beginning of the Instagram application, users received content displayed chronologically, according to the date of adding photos and recordings to the portal. Over time, however, the way the media were displayed on the home page changed and Instagram began using its algorithms that suggested to users a modified order of displayed content. Ultimately, however, a few months ago, Instagram announced that users will be able to browse their home page using the chronological display of posts, and in fact, this function is already being gradually added to the application for users from different regions.
Instagram will allow you to view the main page of the application all the time by using special algorithms that suggest the order of photos and videos to the user. There will also be an option to display media chronologically from the creators you follow, but that's not all. There will also be an option to only display content from your favourite creators. They are selected by starring specific profiles and it will be possible to select a maximum of 50 accounts for the list of favourite creators. However, there is a catch - it is impossible to change the default media display in the application. It will invariably be an option using Instagram algorithms, and if you want to display the home page in a different way, each time you turn on the application, you will have to turn it on manually by expanding the list just below the application logo in the upper left corner.
