Currently, the most important social media platform in terms of video is TikTok. Other portals want to compete with TikTok and adapt to the current market realities. Meta proves it by introducing the latest modifications to Instagram.
Some Instagram users have received an official announcement that the application has started testing a new format for publishing video recordings. As part of the tests, all recordings will be made available in the form of Reels, which are basically short recordings. This is to be one of the ways to unify the uploaded recordings by users, thanks to which Instagram will be able to provide all shared video files with special musical or visual effects. So far, we do not know how the changes would affect longer Instagram videos. It is worth mentioning that so far on Instagram it was possible to publish videos lasting up to 10 minutes, and in the case of verified accounts, this limit was even greater and amounted to 60 minutes.
