Several Lollipop users say battery level drops when they start using mobile internet data instead of Wi-Fi.
„63% of battery was used almost instantly when the 3G was turned on. The problem does not occur when the Wi-Fi is turned on.” – said dissatisfied android user.
There were couple similar complains about Lollipop 5.1, with different devices being used, for example Nexus 5. In each case problem takes place during using 3G or LTE. Until now, Google has not provided a fix to this problem.
The problem with the battery drain has been around for some time now, previous bug drained battery while on Wi-Fi, but Google has already issued a fix to this.
