The hints that the Lumia 950 and 950 XL will get the "double tap to wake" feature have been leaked several time, and now Microsoft has started the update that confirmes it, both devices are receiving the update.
The feature waas requested by users on several occasions, so we can assume that there were plenty of requests.
The update is available via the Windows Device Recovery Tool.
