The first half of the year was really difficult for all companies around the world. This was obviously due to the appearance of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, causing companies to lose enormous amounts of money. Huawei also has to fight the problem of sanctions imposed by the United States government, which does not allow American companies to cooperate with Huawei without the consent of US politicians. However, this didn't prevent Huawei from becoming the manufacturer that sells the most smartphones of all phone manufacturers in the second quarter of this year. It is possible, however, that significant complications will arise in the future and the owners of the company are aware of this, and a particularly pressing issue is the problem with processors. That's why Huawei wants to cooperate with MediaTek.

MediaTek company officially asked the US government to enable cooperation with Huawei. For the company from Taiwan, contacts with Huawei are very important, while Huawei is facing a significant problem regarding the production of processors for future phones. The production of its own proprietary processors is not possible at the moment, and cooperation with TSMC can't be established, so an important topic for Huawei is reaching an agreement with MediaTek. The biggest problem, however, will be obtaining approval from the US government and we will have to wait a while for decision in that case.
