After premiere of iPhone 7, when Apple removed headphone jack input from their phone, most of big companies decided to do the same in their devices. They explained that this idea allows them to save space for other things added to phones, but in real firms mainly wanted to save money. But Microsoft is trying to solve this problem, and company from Redmond is developing new project - flexible 3,5mm headphone jack input.

Microsoft flied this patent in August 2016, and whole input will expand when user will insert headphones, and if input will be empty port will get smaller. Microsoft in plans mentioned three possible versions of this input with small differences, and we will see if project will end successfully or whole idea finally won't be realized.
