21th of August is a day when in United States people will be witnesses of total solar eclipse day, and currently during this day Google plans to announce official name of new version of their operating system. Already for months, many people have claimed that Android in the newest version will be called Oreo, but we have no confirmation from Google on this matter.
What's more, David Ruddock, managing editor of Android Police posted on his Twitter account information that he received some reports from Google about name of Android 8.0, but he doesn't want to make spoilers. We just have to wait around the week for information from confirmed sources, but we won't be surprised if Google really will use Oreo name.
