Removing headphone jack from phones is a very popular decision among smartphone manufacturers. Very few companies still use headphone input in their device - for example Samsung is one such company. Theoretically, removing this option saves space for other interesting features or for larger battery in the phone, but people are very reluctant to approach such a solution. This opinion was proved, among others, in the poll conducted by OnePlus company several years ago, where the vast majority of people who took part in the poll announced that they don't want to remove this input from phones. How it turns out, OnePlus after some years decided to remove 3,5mm jack input from their newest smartphone.

Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus confirmed in interview for TechRadar website that OnePlus 6T won't have this option. He said that the newest reports inform about 59% of community which is ready for using wireless headphones. This decision is a kind of surprise - in the past OnePlus's phones were based on Oppo phones, and Oppo company didn't decide to make such a radical change during creating Oppo R17 Pro. What's more, OnePlus firm was advertised as company which listens to its customers, and this time situation looks the other way around, which can be confirmed by considerable dissatisfaction of OnePlus's customers on many websites. Who knows, maybe such a reaction of people will cause that OnePlus 7 will be equipped with headphone jack?
