In previous days, we reported about the upcoming premieres of new projects made by Qualcomm - Snapdragon 835 and Quick Charge 4.0. Today, the company raised this topic, and we have official information on this subject.
The new processor will allow to increase productivity by 27% and reducing energy demanded by phone. The size of the chip is going to be reduced, which will allow producers to mount to phone battery with larger capacities. Work on the new Snapdragon, similarly to the 820 version, are rolling in cooperation with Samsung.
As for the Quick Charge, time of charging to full battery will be shorter by 20%, and more efficient by as much as 30%. As says the slogan of the new version of Quick Charge: “5 minutes of charge grant you 5 hours of use”.
The first phones with the new Snapdragon and Quick Charge will appear in 2017. It is likely that the first phone which will include Snapdragon 835 and Quick Charge 4.0 will be Samsung Galaxy S8.
