As we well know, Huawei in many countries around the world has problems with the distribution of its equipment that allows the use of the 5G network. Additionally, the company cannot conclude contracts directly with American companies, which is a major obstacle in the Chinese manufacturer's operations. Before signing a cooperation agreement, US companies must obtain a permit from the US government that will allow them to cooperate with Huawei. Qualcomm has been given permission to do so, but the collaboration has some important restrictions which have been put by government.

The agreement between Qualcomm and Huawei has been confirmed by both parties, while the cooperation between the companies will not include all Qualcomm products. We already officially know that Qualcomm will be able to sell its processors to the Chinese manufacturer, but only those supporting 4G connectivity. Due to the controversy related to Huawei's 5G activity, Qualcomm has not received permission to sell its 5G supporting processors. This is an important detail, because in practice Huawei will not be able to use the latest Qualcomm processors and the cooperation will mainly be based on the sale of processors which will then be used in slightly weaker phones than powerful flagships.
