In previous year Qualcomm made processors Snapdragon 625 and 652. Nowadays, the company claims that these units are outdated, and firm has decided to produce the successors of these processors.
Snapdragon 660 is a successor of 652 model. It allows to use up to 8GB of RAM and this processor has eight-core Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU. Snapdragon 660 supports Quick Charge 4 standard and has X12 modem which allows to use faster LTE connection.
Snapdragon 630, successor of Snapdragon 625 has many similar features to processor with 660 number – it also allows to use up to 8GB of RAM, supports Quick Charge 4 standard and has the same LTE modem. Main difference is the chipset used in processor - Snapdragon 630 features Cortex A53 CPU and Adreno 508 GPU.
When it comes to availability, Snapdragon 660 has already appeared on market. Snapdragon 630 probably will be officially released during this month, and first devices with these processors will appear in about 3 months.
