Meta company owns many applications, including two popular messenger apps: Messenger and WhatsApp. The most popular functions appearing in individual applications, often with a delay, are also added to other applications owned by Meta, an example of which is the function of responding to messages through the use of emoticons. Initially, this option was added to Messenger, and now WhatsApp users can also use it.

For the first time, responses to messages on WhatsApp appeared in May. At that time, however, this option worked in a limited way, as users were only able to react in one of six ways, using the default emoticons set in the application. However, users indicated that they would like to be able to respond to messages by using any emoticons and Meta responds to these requests. From now on, the procedure for updating this feature has been started, thanks to which you will be able to react to messages in WhatsApp with any emoticons. The changes apply to both the Android version and the iOS version of app.
