As reported recently, LG, after withdrawing from the smartphone market, began talks with Apple regarding a potential cooperation. If the cooperation is confirmed, LG will sell Apple equipment in its largest showrooms in South Korea. Such reports were not well received by Samsung.

It is worth mentioning that in 2018 LG and Samsung signed an agreement under which it was agreed that the company can only sell its proprietary phones in LG stores, and Samsung can only sell proprietary phones in its stores. The cooperation between LG and Apple is to be possible thanks to a special clause allowing the renegotiation of the terms of the contract in the event of major changes in the company's policy, which in fact took place after LG discontinued the production of proprietary phones. In the current situation, Samsung would like LG, in addition to selling Apple equipment, to start selling Galaxy series phones developed by Samsung in its shops in South Korea. Samsung hopes that cause of new agreement it will be more competitive with Apple in terms of the production and sale of phones that support 5G.
