After presentation of Samsung Exynos 8895 in March it was clear that new Samsung's processor will support maximally 1Gbps speed of downlink. Now company presented new, improved version of modem which will support up to 1.2Gbps speed after ending all improvements.
New modem will theoretically allow to download film in HD quality in 10 seconds and, how announces Samsung, users will be able to watch streamed videos without buffering. New modem isn't ready yet to go to mass production so probably we won't see it in Samsung Galaxy Note 8. How says rumors, the first phone with upgraded version of modem will be Samsung Galaxy S9.
