It is especially risky to use ChatGPT when working with sensitive data, because during data processing, they are sent to external servers, where further control over the sent data is impossible. For this reason, Samsung has decided to prohibit the use of ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence tools for its employees in the performance of their duties.
It turns out that Samsung discovered a case of using ChatGPT while working on sensitive source codes, which put their confidentiality in danger. For this reason, a ban has been introduced, which, however, will only apply when working with sensitive personal data or source codes.
