Samsung is slowly preparing its fans for the premiere of Samsung Galaxy S10. Another event that brings us closer to the premiere of this new phone is premiere of the processor that will be used in this device. We're speaking about Exynos 9820, which on paper isn't too big upgrade in comparison to Exynos 9810, but in practice new unit has several improvements that will make processor's work properly balanced.

Samsung Exynos 9820 was produced in 8nm technology. It's no secret that Samsung is already working on solutions made in 7nm technology, but they are not ready for public presentation yet. New Samsung's processor consists of eight cores, and two of them are Samsung's custom cores and they are the most efficient of all added to the unit. The remaining cores are two Cortex-A75 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. For the first time Samsung added the Cortex-A75 cores to its processor, and this solution will allow phone to have more capabilities to adjust the device's power while working. Importantly, Exynos 9820 doesn't support 5G network, and one of interesting changes which is worth mentioning is the possibility of recording movies in 8K quality, but at the moment Samsung doesn't offer a device that would allow for recording of films in such a resolution. It may mean that Samsung Galaxy S10 will be able to record movies in 8K, but of course it's just a guess.
