Qualcomm is known for its presence on the mobile market. It is the largest company dealing in the production of processors for smartphones, but for some time the company has been trying to expand its activities. One of the ways to expand its business on the car market will be the recently confirmed cooperation with Ferrari.
As part of the cooperation, Ferrari will use solutions developed by Qualcomm. Thus, Ferrari will use the Snapdragon Digital Chassis package, which was designed to be used in the automotive market. We do not know exactly what functions will appear in Ferrari cars as it has not been officially confirmed. We know, however, that Qualcomm has already developed such solutions as Snapdragon Ride (used to assist drivers in driving), Snapdragon Cockpit (supporting activities performed in the car cockpit) and Snapdragon Auto Connectivity (used to establish LTE, 5G or Wi-Fi connections). In addition, as part of the cooperation, Qualcomm will become the official sponsor of the F1 team called Scuderia Ferrari. The Qualcomm's logo itself is going to appear on Ferrari F1-75 cars.
