Many companies cheated in benchmarks, this problem is not new. Already in 2013, the first such cases appeared, among others in the tests of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or HTC One. Firms obtained inflated results of their devices thanks to the software preinstalled on phones, which forced processors to work as efficiently as possible during tests. This problem has returned, and this time controversies concern Chinese company Huawei.
Several websites responsible for benchmark testing of phones have conducted independent tests which have determined that some phones manufactured by Huawei have achieved too high results considering specs of devices. These telephones during benchmarks operated much faster than in the "standard" versions of devices that were released to the market. Huawei responded quickly by issuing an official statement on this subject, in which we can read that for the company the most important thing is to provide users with a comfortable use of their devices, and not high places in the benchmarks. However, this statement did not change opinions of companies responsible for making benchmarks, so phones like Huawei P20 Pro or Honor Play disappeared from the phone list on the 3DMark website.
