This is not the first time when Google has problems with system updates on the flagship Pixel series of phones. Currently the newest updates are delayed, some smartphones received the latest updates in November, which is unlike the previous announcements of the manufacturer. In addition, on the Internet appeared some rumors indicating that the latest system updates on some phones have caused a strange error related to application icons.
There have been many messages on the Reddit website informing that after the December security update some phones have a problem displaying application icons. The names of all applications are displayed as normal. Interestingly, the problem usually affects applications recently opened by the user. If the problem described above concerns your phone, you can report it directly to the manufacturer via the "Tips & Support" option in the Settings.
