A few years ago people would have certainly not believe the current state of affairs in the mobile market. Sony Ericsson company, which was a combination of mobile branches of two companies: Sony and Ericsson for years was one the most popular brands. Since 2012, 50% of shares owned by Ericsson have been taken over by Sony and the company began operating under the name Sony Mobile. Since then, the company has released a lot of telephones, but it has never been able to repeat the successes achieved by the devices like Sony Ericsson k310i or Sony Ericsson k550i. The current situation of the company on the mobile market is not great for Sony, and this will probably lead to the closure of company branches in some countries.
How we can read on Evan Blass's official Twitter account Sony will probably close its offices in Turkey, Middle East and Africa. The company is forced to save money to implement new projects, so we would not be surprised if in the near future the departments in other countries would be closed. Sony could then focus on the markets that bring them relatively large profits from the sale of smartphones.
