Telegram platform is developing all the time, so it is not surprising that the user base currently oscillates around 500 million active accounts. For now, all functionalities appearing in the application are completely free, but this may change in the future. This is announced by one of the owners of Telegram, Pavel Durov.
Pavel Durov announces that the company's owners are planning to introduce special, paid plans to Telegram. They would be aimed mainly at group conversations, which are referring to the business activities of individual companies. In addition, advertisements are to appear on Telegram as announced. Importantly, the advertised ads are to be sent only to public channels in the application, while the private conversations themselves will still remain without any ads. Such steps are aimed at increasing the revenue from the application, which will keep the independence of the entire company. Otherwise, it could be possible that Telegram would have to be sold to a separate firm.
