The technological process used to manufacture processors is often overlooked, but it's one of the most important pieces of information regarding the individual units used in electronic equipment. For example, the current flagship smartphones on the market to a large extent use 5nm processors. Newer technological processes allow for the creation of faster and more energy-efficient units. 2022 should bring phones using 4nm processors, but processor manufacturers are even thinking about creating 2nm processors.

One of the giants - TSMC is a company that seriously thinks about creating processors in a 2nm technological process. The company initially announces that it wants to build a factory for the production of 2nm chips by 2025. TSMC's upcoming plans assume that the company will be able to start mass production of processors made in the 3nm process already in the second half of 2022. Plans for 2nm technology have not been officially confirmed yet, but on paper they look very promising.
