At the very beginning of Twitter's operation, the content of messages was limited by a character limit of 140 per message. Over time, this limit was increased and at the moment, users can send tweets between themselves with a maximum of 280 characters. There is of course the possibility of conversation via private messages, but Twitter is aware of the limitations and wants to allow users to share longer texts if necessary.
The way out of this problem is introduction of the Notes function. Users will be able to create long texts, additionally sprinkled with photos, and share them with other users via a special link. There will be no character limitations for messages shared using the new feature. So far, the Twitter Notes feature is being tested and only a small group of users can use it. Over time, however, it will be released in other countries.
