In response to many requests from users, almost a week ago, Twitter resumed the process of verifying accounts on the social network. In the settings of the official Twitter application there is an option to submit an application to confirm the official account. The new verification process gives individual accounts a chance to receive special distinctions on the portal through a blue badge placed next to the account name. This type of verification can be passed positively by, among others, government units, companies, journalists, sports clubs and activists. It turns out that there are many people willing to undergo such account verification. As a result, Twitter temporarily suspended the process of accepting applications for accounts that are to undergo such verification.
As we can read on the official Twitter profile used for communication with users, the company has received so many applications that at the moment it has been decided not to accept new requests for account verification. For now, the company wants to analyze the proposals submitted so far, and then the option of submitting applications will return to users. So far, however, we do not know exactly when it will happen, while an announcement has been published from Twitter that it will happen "soon".
