Various electronic devices available on the market differ in the types of ports they support. Most devices currently use USB-C ports, but some of them also use USB-A, microUSB inputs, and Apple hardware uses a Lightning port. Some of the cables will support the latest USB4 version 2.0 technology, which has just been introduced, with a record data transfer speed.

USB4 version 2.0 will support 80Gbps data transfer, which means twice the result in this respect than the previous type of technology. USB4 version 2.0 will be compatible with inputs supporting USB4 1.0, USB 3.2, USB 2.0 and ThunderBolt 3. Other, older USB-C cables will support the new type of ports, but will not allow for such fast data transfer rates.
