Lenovo has significantly increased its activity in the mobile market. Chang Cheng had a big impact on this decision, who joined Lenovo in 2000, and since 2011 he has been vice director of the entire company. At the same time, he was the general director of the mobile department, so that all important decisions regarding Lenovo smartphones depended more or less on his decision. On the last day of 2019, Cheng gave up his positions at Lenovo and soon after the start of 2020 we learned his plans for the future.
From now on, Chang Cheng became an employee of Xiaomi, and this information was confirmed both by Xiaomi's bosses and Cheng himself. He received the position of vice director of the company, but so far we have not got to know the area in which Cheng is to operate. Xiaomi itself appreciates Cheng's "deep understanding of the market and extensive production experience". For now, Lenovo has not commented on the decision of its former vice president.
