Moving WhatsApp data from the iOS version to the Android version has been tested for some time, but we were still waiting for a stable version of this feature to be released. This moment has come, but so far in a rather limited form, as data can only be transferred to some Samsung's phones.
In order to be able to transfer the data collected in WhatsApp to iPhone to a Samsung phone, it will be necessary to use a smartphone with Android version 10 or 11. The whole process will be based on transferring data via a cable, hence the purchase of a Lightning-USB-C cable will be necessary. The process takes place via the Samsung Smart Switch application and during it all important information is transferred, such as a profile photo, created group chats, individual chats, but also attached photos, recordings and voice messages. WhatsApp announces that this feature should soon be available on other Android phones as well.
